Mint and Polka Dots

For those who have a vintage clothing shop, do you find yourself waiting for an item not to sell so that you can say "Oh well, guess no one wants it- MINE!"...or is that just me?
That happened with this lovely Dalton mint green cashmere sweater. I had it in the shop and when it didn't sell I greedily decided to keep it.
It was kind of the best decision ever because it's a perfect color for spring with primo layering ability and it's super soft.

I paired it with a navy blue vintage dress, tapestry purse, polka dot tights, glittery oxfords, and a load of jewelry. A girl can never have on too much jewelry, in my opinion! The tackier, the better!

Dress - Vintage
Sweater - Vintage
Shoes - Forever 21
Tights - Nordstrom
Purse - Vintage
All Jewelry - Vintage

This is my first outfit post! Eek! I really had to hype myself up to post one as I am normally quite shy and reserved. Hopefully there will be more in the future! :-)

  1. You definitely made the right choice in keeping that sweater! The color is just lovely, and it looks great with that dress. I have a Dalton cashmere sweater from the 50s that is just one of the most comfortable things I own, but unfortunately I have to treat it pretty delicately these days. Yours looks like it's in really great condition, though!

I hope you keep up the outfit posts; you look wonderful! :)

    Cheers,

    1. Thanks so much for your kind words, Jenny! I'm not sure why I was so nervous- bloggers are so nice! :-)
I wish I found more cashmere in good condition in my size! It really is so comfortable. I've stumbled across a surprising amount of cashmere here in Florida, but it's usually pretty tiny. I can suffer through an itchy 100% wool sweater, sure, but I'd much prefer to have all my sweaters be cashmere! That would be awesome!

  2. That would be definitely be me if I had a vintage shop or likely a handmade goods one, too. Granted one always wants an abundance of sales, but sometimes there are those certain items that nestle right into your heart and seem to be saying "keep me forever". :)

What a sweetly pretty early springtime ensemble, dear gal. You're the picture of loveliness!

    1. Thank you, Jessica! :-)
It's probably not the best way to run a shop, but I often find myself hoping that items don't sell so I can keep them! It happens the moment you list it, too! Ha! Sometimes things just speak to you and you start creating outfits in your head that it would be perfect with...and then there's no choice, you just have to keep it!

Mint really is a lovely color for spring! I keep finding myself gravitating towards minty clothing and shoes as spring draws nearer! I'd have a whole wardrobe full of the color if I could!
